Problem booting remastered .iso
Hi
I have installed CAINE Pulsar to a usb drive. I have then customised it, and committed those changes to the distro as per the steps here:
http://forensicotd.blogspot.co.uk/2013/07/maintaining-dead.html
The customised thumbdrive boots O.K. However, when I use remastersys to create the new .iso and burn to disk, after splash screen I am taken to the lightdm login screen. I have looked at the kernel messages, they seem to stop with this line:
init: plymouth-stop pre-start process (9928) terminated with status 1.
I have updated the plymouth scripts, however I get the same problem. If I create a dd image of my usb drive and copy to new usb drive then it boots OK. So maybe the problem is with remastersys scripts? Any ideas or work-arounds much appreciated!
