NBCAINE on Mac & PC w/ UEFI Empty NBCAINE on Mac & PC w/ UEFI

Hello Everyone. I am a Justice Administration - Digital Forensics student at DeVry and have been experimenting with various tools. I seem to like CAINE in my virtual machines and wanted to create USB drives for it. I have various computers and my standard bios computer boots the NBCAINE 4.0 written with Win32DiskImager 0.7. I have tried Rufus and UNetbootin and neither my Mac or my New ASUS S550 with UEFI will boot NBCAINE. Again the same thumb drive boots perfectly fine on my standard BIOS computers that do not have a UEFI only type bios. Does anyone have a recommendation to get a working copy of NBCAINE for Mac and the new Secure Boot enabled UEFI windows machines appearing on the market?

Hi,
it's a problem of the secure boot, it accepts only the MS Windows 8, because a crypt-key inside it...so you have to disable secure boot from your UEFI...or you can boot only Linux 64bit (Ubuntu, Debian, for examples, because they put the Microsoft key into their boot loader, it's a shit!).
check on google "uefi secure boot linux"

Thank you for the reply. Disabling secure boot worked on both my Acer and my Samsung. Still working on booting it on my Mac I'll post back when I accomplish that.

NBCAINE on Mac & PC w/ UEFI Empty Booting MAC with NBCaine

If you want to boot a MAC with NBCaine bootable USB you need to convert the DOS partition table to GPT type.  You can do this with the gdisk utility in Linux.   I haven't tried with CAINE 4.0, but it does work with CAINE 2.0
