Cannot display this video mode
Hello,
I'm trying to boot the 2.0 Live CD. I do not want to install at this point.
I have downloaded the .iso and burned to cd. I have indeed burned the iso properly as it works on another system.
The system I want to use the Live Cd on has an on board GeForce 6150LE gpu.
When I boot the system to the cd and select *any* of the options including the VESA option I can see text scrolling then shortly my screen goes black and displays the following message:
1. Analog Display
Cannot display this video mode
I must then force a power down of the system to restart.
The exact same thing happens when I try a Ubuntu 10.10 Live cd as well.
Any help would be appreciated.

Try "nomodeset"
Hi Tim,
Ubuntu and grub2 don't play well with some video chipsets. Try the following:
If this fails, try "xforcevesa nomodeset" for safe graphics or "textonly nomodeset" for text mode.
Let us know if this works for you.

Ubuntu and grub2 don't play well with some video chipsets. Try the following:
- boot CAINE in the system
- press escape when you reach the splash screen
- press tab when you see the "boot:" prompt (you will be given a list of options that represent the boot option on the splash screen
- enter "live nomodeset" and press enter.
If this fails, try "xforcevesa nomodeset" for safe graphics or "textonly nomodeset" for text mode.
Let us know if this works for you.
