CAINE 6.0 Utility to mount a device in rw mode
Hello,
I didn't find a utility, in CAINE 6.0, to mount a device in read and write mode. But, in fact, there is one, and very easy to use. See below.
There is the "Safe-Devices mount Read-Only" which is prompted as a disk icon on the lower part of the desk (in the line of the red button for Menu). It mounts a device, only in read mode (as its name says).
But, doing a right clic on this one, you can mount in write mode.
This is perfect.
Take care : the "Fmount" is for mounting an image, not a physical device.
Apologize for my previous question about this.

oh it's very strange that you did not ever seen the home page of caine's web site...and the "manual and policies page" and the green disk on the right at the bottom of the screen and the tried to push it with the second button of your mouse....very strange. :-D
Re: CAINE 6.0 Utility to mount a device in rw mode
Thank you Nannib for your answer.
I looked at the police of CAINE about mounting devices. OK, I agree and, as I wrote, it's a good thing to mount by default, only in read only. But it's also necessary to have a tool to mount in read and write. To avoid to do it in command line, I shall test Mounter (as indicated in Policies).
No, it's not so strang that I did not see the "manual and policies page" of CAINE, because I used previously the old version 2.5.1.
Sorry for this, and thank you for your indication.

Uhmm the mounter utility was since Caine 2.5.1
http://www.caine-live.net/page6/files/category-release.html
it was (in caine 2.5.1) a grey disk at bottom-right of the screen.
It is the most friendly utility for mounting in ro or rw mode as you wish
bye

Hello Nannib.
In fact, I found the good tool to mount in write mode.
Doing a write clic on the disk icon on the lower part of the desk (in the line of the shutdown), we have the mounter in write mode (instead of the "Safe-Devices mount Read-Only" that we have by a left clic on this icon).
I modified my first post about this.
Apologize.
Have a good evening.

Re: CAINE 6.0 Utility to mount a device in rw mode

In basso a destra c'รจ il dischetto verde
Secondo tasto del mouse e diventa rosso
Poi monta
