liveusb 'command not found' Empty liveusb 'command not found'

Post  awil Sat Sep 25, 2010 5:59 pm

I am obviously doing something stupid guys and am newish to Linux, so hold the flame plx :~)

I am trying to follow the instructions on the page:

http://www.caine-live.net/page13/page13.html

I boot from the CD, insert the USB key and open a shell - all as instructed.

When I try to run the command 'liveusb' all I receive is the message:

caine@caine:~$ liveusb
liveusb: command not found

Any help appreciated.

What Nanni means, in case it wasn't clear, is:

  1. download nbcaine from the downloads page
  2. expand the image, if compressed
  3. write to a thumb drive with dd (e.g., dd if=nbcaine.dd of=/dev/sdb)

nbcaine is a disc image that will make your USB flash drive a bootable CAINE environment.
