Caine 2.0 in VMWare

I am trying to install Caine 2.0 in VMWare Workstation 6.5 running on a Windows 7 64 bit machine. I have tried doing it as an Ubuntu 32 bit and a 64 bit machine and I keep getting an error that says:

"The CPU has been disabled by the guest operating system. You will need to power off or reset the virtual machine at this point."

This happens when I try to install and also when i try live cd. The install seems to take place, but at the end it states that i need to reboot and when i do, thats when i get the error.

Any suggestions??

Caine 2.0 is based on Ubuntu 10.04 32 bit....is this the problem?

no i dont think thats the problem. i had it setup as a 32 bit ubuntu environment. i downloaded the caine 2.0 vmware appliance from the download area and it did the same thing. the actual live cd boots fine. its just the vmware thats causing a problem. it must be something in my computer setup or my version of vmware, but i cant seem to figure it out. ive never had a problem like this in the past ive got plenty of os's running in vmware on this machine.

Ok I'll contact the developer of Caine on VMWare....hold on

i just updated vmware workstation to version 6.5.4 and it seems to be working now. must have been a conflict with 6.5

if i run into any other problems, ill post here.
